Until 2011, I had only travelled to two countries in my lifetime, both of them close neighbours to my home in the UK. Then, in 2012, I was given the opportunity to go and work on a charity project in Southern India for 5 weeks which was truly life-changing. That’s when the travel bug truly hit and after this, I juggled travelling with university life and, managing to head to Thailand, Vietnam and back to India during my uni holidays, as well as various European trips.

In 2015, I lived in Hong Kong for a year as part of my university degree, which was an unbelievable opportunity to experience a different culture and get to grips with a continent I love so much. This opened up the door to travelling like never before. Over 30 countries later, I now live in Hong Kong working as a Native English Teacher (NET).

I’m a walking disaster, have had just about everything go wrong and gotten into more scrapes than I can remember but, bizarrely, the jackpacker life is the one for me…
